CAD plays an important role in creation of new designs and the production processes in fast changing global trade. Computer Aided Textile Designing software is the new concept for designing in less time of today’s era. Computers help to work easily in a short duration and more work with more production also. The application of Computer Aided Designing software is used in fields of weaving, fashion, embroidery, apparels, printing and knitting. The present study was conducted to develop designs for home textiles, utility articles and fashion accessories. The two top preferred products in home textile category were cushion cover and bed cover, apron and multipurpose basket in utility articles category while potli bag and poncho in fashion accessories categories were selected for development of different product designs as well as colour schemes viz. analogous, complementary, split complementary, monochromatic, tetrad and triad. Total thirty designs i.e. five designs for the selected six products were created with the help of CorelDRAW X5 software and based on the experts’ preferences top ranked two designs of each product were selected. Out of 36 colour ways i.e. three colour ways for the selected twelve designs were simulated of the selected product designs in their preferred colour ways and the most preferred colour way of each design was selected for product development on the basis of preferences of experts. Hence, twelve designs were selected for the products development.
