The paper investigated the knowledge of homemakers’ household regarding water footprint. Water footprint is defined as the volume of water needed for the production of the goods and services consumed by the inhabitants of a country. A sample of 120 households was selected from four areas of Bikaner city of Rajasthan. The overall water footprint knowledge highlighted that maximum number of the homemakers’ (91.67 percent) knowledge was average, followed by poor knowledge (7.50 percent) and megre number of homemakers (0.83 percent) were having good knowledge. Water conservation knowledge will be helpful tool for environment scientists to reduce the negative impact of human habits on environment thus reducing their water footprint.
