Abstract:
India is filled with rich culture and heritage. Every ritual in India has a story, which is a testament to India's rich traditions that make it famous all over the world. India's traditional embroidery is one of them, which is influenced and diverse due to India's large geographical area. Every region has its own unique culture and traditions, and traditional embroideries serve as symbols of its history, social norms, and regional culture. This study explores India's traditional embroideries, which are famous all over the world as part of India's heritage and culture. All traditional embroidery of India tells a story of its existence, purpose, colors, mythological perspective, and unique making techniques. Here, we discuss all traditional embroideries, stitch styles, and different embroideries found in India. We also explored the idea of how to conserve this heritage in this changing era.
