Author(s): Preeti Singh
Abstract:
India has a deep-rooted agricultural foundation and a rich heritage in textile craftsmanship, traditionally depending on natural fibres like cotton, jute, wool, and silk. Recently, rising environmental awareness, shifting consumer tastes, and international climate initiatives have reignited interest in sustainable, biodegradable materials, bringing natural fibres back into focus.
