The facilities extended by the Anganwadi centres to the residents of the Gurdaspur district of Punjab

Abstract:
The present study deals the various facilities available for the residents at the Anganwadi Centres in Gurdaspur District of Punjab. 300 respondents were studied through the interview method. Nearly 55% of beneficiaries do not have facility separate indoor play area and toys. Majority of them had the availability of Pre-School Education (PSE) Kit. About 80% of the respondents get medical kit/first-aid kit. The growth chart for children were available in 90% of the Anganwadi Centres. The weighing machines for both the baby and adult were available in AWCs. Nearly 93% of the beneficiaries were getting sufficient amount of food and 83% reported that they get average quantity of food. All this shows that the beneficiaries were getting multiple facilities at the AWCs.
