Impact of junk food on adolescent body image and well-being

Author(s): Sapna Choudhary and Chandra Kumari
Abstract:
In today's fast-paced world, junk food has increasingly replaced balanced diets, particularly among adolescents. This preference for high-calorie, high-sugar, and high-fat foods can lead to physical and mental health challenges. The quick preparation and easy availability of junk food, especially through home delivery, make it a popular choice for time-constrained families, even though this convenience often comes at the cost of health. This article aims to explore the significant adverse effects that junk food consumption can have on the physical and psychological well-being of adolescents.
