Abstract:
The investigation was conducted in Hisar district, Haryana state. Information regarding loan taken by women entrepreneurs during the past few years was obtained from various financial institutions. District Central Co-operative Bank, Hisar advanced loan to maximum number of women entrepreneurs. Five units each of stitching garments and under garments managed by women entrepreneurs who had taken loan from financial institutions were selected randomly. On the basis of benefit-cost ratio, break-even points and break - even analysis, stitching garment units were found to be more profitable than under garment units.
