Abstract:


Anaemia is a serious nutrition problem affecting million in developingrncountries and remains a major challenge for human health and social andrneconomic development this indicates that the quality of breast milk isrnmaintained at the expense of maternal stores.rnPostpartum anaemia is highest in mothers who are anaemic duringrnpregnancy lactating mothers being the postnatal period after having ironrndepleted through the continuum from pregnancy to childbearing in arnmater-analysis of observational and intervention trials, Ross and Thomas foundrnthat 20% of maternal mortality in sub-Saharan Africa and South and Asia wasrnattributable to anaemia that was primarily the result of iron deficiency. This study was performed to determine the Consequences prevalence of anaemia and dietary habits of lactating womenrnof Ambedkar Nagar.rn
