Abstract:
Women play a distinctivernand accepted role in the process of earning a livelihood for the family in bothrnthe marketing of products of agriculture and handicrafts. Majority of farmrnwomen are engaged in farm activities like sowing, transplanting, harvesting andrnpost harvesting operations. Most of the farm women are found engaged in dairyrnactivities, poultry keeping, goat rearing, sericulture and horticulturalrnoperations. Some of them are found engaged in small scale industries and incomerngenerating activities.
